When you use your Mac notebook, its battery goes through charge cycles. A charge cycle happens when you use all of the battery’s power—but that doesn’t necessarily mean a single charge. For example, you could use half of your notebook's charge in one day, and then recharge it fully. If you did the same thing the next day, it would count as one charge cycle, not two. In this way, it might take several days to complete a cycle. Batteries have a limited amount of charge cycles before they're considered to be consumed.
Once consumed, a replacement battery is recommended. You can use your battery after it reaches its maximum cycle count, but you might notice a reduction in your battery life. Knowing how many charge cycles your battery has and how many are left can help you determine when a battery replacement is required. For best performance, replace your battery when you reach its maximum cycle count. Follow these steps to access information about your Mac notebook battery, including its cycle count:. Hold the Option key and click the Apple () menu. Under the Hardware section of the System Information window, select Power. The current cycle count is listed under the Battery Information section.

Piggahmonster, If you’re serious about mindmapping. Then this the program for you. MindNode 5 is one of the most expensive programs I’ve ever bought and it took me a while to come around to buying it. If you only need to make occasional mindmap style diagrams this probably isn’t for you.
After experimenting with different brain storming and note taking styles I decided I liked this philosophy best and wanted to make it a bigger part of my workflow. I would encourage anyone interested to use the trial and if you decide its something you’ll use every day then there’s no better program for mind map style notes. MyMindNode also makes it really easy to share. I personally think if you spend $40 on the Mac version the iOS version should be included because you’re going to want to use them both and then you’ve got over $50 in it. SimpleMind is $30 with a free version but the Pro features are specific and useful enough that you have to get it and MindNode is much nicer and not far off in price.
So if you’re serious about visual notes, this is the best. Another thing about MindNode is that it’s just plain fun to use. Anytime I find myself with a blank screen I pull up MindNode and just doodle around for a while. You can’t really get the same experience from a text outliner. Developer Response, Thank you for this detailed review!! Piggahmonster, If you’re serious about mindmapping.

Developer Response, Thank you for this detailed review!! Johnny98203, MindNode 5 is a professional workflow necessity! MindNode 5 builds upon the 2nd version without creating a bloated interface.
It is as clean and functional as the Apple technology it runs on. I firmly believe that mind mapping is a must for creative professionals. It effectively allows you to conceptulize large amounts of data and refine information visually.
With that being said, MindNode offers a better UI/UX than it’s other competitors on the App store. I have installed the trial version of Simple Mind and although it is packed with more features, it’s interface comes off as clunky and not very user-friendly in comparison to MindNode. One such example is that to import pictures you must go through a file-browser as opposed to drag-and-drop.
Also, Simple Mind also doesn’t allow for convenient picture preview window when pressing the spacebar (albeit it runs on more OS’s). For $40 I would consider this software a good value considering its practical applications and would definitely advise upgrading.
The developers have been responsive to my messages and I recommend sending information to IdeasOnCanvas regarding MindNode’s functionality and user-interface. If you are unsure about integrating this product into your workflow, get the 2-week trial version before purchasing! Developer Response, Thank you for this great review!!
